DIEHARD™
Ecto Root Dip
is formulated as a bare root treatment with live beneficial
mycorrhizal fungi to inoculate the roots of bare root plants before
planting. It contains highly selected species of low host
specificity ectomycorrhizal fungi that will quickly colonize the
roots of bare root plants to provide the best possible conditions
for the roots to become as effective during and after planting. The
mycorrhizal inoculants are combined with humic acids, biostimulants,
beneficial bacteria, soluble sea kelp, yucca plant extracts, to
promote rapid root development. The mycorrhizal inoculant is
managed with Horta-Sorb® SM which also protects the roots from
drying out. The results are better survival and growth rates and
less watering for all transplants.

Mix
contents of bag with water to form a mixture the consistency of
thick gravy. Let stand for 15-20 minutes. Dip or spray
roots and plant, or package seedlings for shipment or storage.
Adjust thickness of mixture to insure that the gel adheres to the
roots when dipping. (The 3 oz. bag will treat 2,000 seedlings.
If your dip mixture gets too hard add water. If you add too
much water add some Horta-Sorb SM to get the gel again.)
An added benefit when using this product is that
when roots are dipped into the gel they become heavy and tend to
drop nicely into our container mixes. Before we were always
trying to arrange the roots so that they dropped down into the hole
without wrapping. Now we do not spend time even thinking about
this as all of the roots are nicely arranged to go immediately into
a soil mix without further manipulation. The labor savings
here can be significant.

Testimonial
"Last
year all of my neighbors that grow Xmas trees lost everything because
of the drought we had here in the valley. I used DIEHARD
Ecto Root Dip on my trees and didn't loose a single tree.
Even more astonishing was that I planted two year old seedlings
which are traditionally harder to get started. The DIEHARD
Ecto Root Dip really saved the day for us." Mr. John
Borst, Schoharie, NY.
"We
tried your product next to a competitive product from Pennsylvania
and saw big differences. In 17 years we've never grown
a better tree. We are very pleased with DIEHARD Ecto
Root Dip and plan to use it from here on." Mr. Greg
Phillips, Bald Mountain Tree Farm, Todd, NC.
