Dear Landscape Architect:
At the end of the day the success of a well designed
landscape project is reflected by the condition of the plant
materials both initially and once they are established.
The biggest "black box" in the industry is the condition of
plants from the time they leave the nursery until they are
established in the landscape. You know many of the reasons
for this paradox and so do we. Often the landscape site
contains little "life" in the ground where the planting is
taking place. Nursery grown plants used in the landscape
have been grown in a much accelerated fashion with little
thought to developing and nurturing the natural systems that
all plants have evolved with. And finally, especially with
public projects, the low bidder enjoys the job with all
attention to reducing costs and limiting inputs so that they
can survive.
The scenario above is typical of the industry. Our products
address these issues by including over 100 ingredients to
"energize" the ground with over 70 strains of beneficial
bacteria and biostimulants to "naturalize" the ground and 16
species of mycorrhizal fungi, and over a dozen other rooting
enhancers, for the plant.
With our products we've "stacked-the-deck" with ingredients
that universities have proclaimed (in tens of thousands of
studies) and forward thinking, rational, industry
professionals have begun to use in the recent past. Think
of how many proven plant and micro flora technologies that
you have learned about in technical conferences. How would
you like to use all of them! Now you can. The ingredients
we put into our products everyone knows about but very few
take the time, and trouble, to search out and use. We've
taken all the guess work out of using these technologies and
offer our experience and tenacity to make your planting
projects more successful.
Our
most popular product in your profession is
DIEHARD
Transplant which
is used with transplants, especially trees. Nursery
grown plants lack many of the natural systems that they
must have to flourish in
the landscape. Further, the ground that plants are
typically planted into lacks the natural bacteria needed
to convert nutrients into a soluble form for roots to take
in for the plant. Our products help big-time to "naturalize"
the plant and the ground and contain a long-term package
of everything to help get the plant established in the landscape.
All
of our products contain:
Endomycorrhizae
- 7 species
Ectomycorrhizae - 3 species
Trichoderma - 6 species - beneficial soil fungi
Stimulants - over a hundred from Sea Kelp Extract, Humus,
Yucca Plant Extract
Amino Acids - buffers heavy metals and high salts and
improves microbial activity in the
soil.
Vitamins & Enzymes - essential for chlorophyll production,
cell division, transpiration and respiration.
Beneficial Bacteria - nitrogen fixing, phosphate solubilizing,
and a growth hormone promoting
bacillus to stimulate roots.
Water Management Gels - agricultural
grade to better manage water and nutrients.

The
cost of using DIEHARD
Transplant is
$2.50 per inch caliper of trunk. (A 5 inch caliper tree
would cost $12.50) Flower bed use is 20 cents per
square foot but is a one-time application of mycorrhizal
inoculant. BIG advantage in flower beds is the
dramatic reduction in fungicides and pesticide use that
results from "Naturalized" beds. Turf applications range from 1/2 cent
for just Horta-Sorb gel to about 20 cents for a complete
combination compound for turf to include all the goodies.
