Nutri-Pak is a truly unique product which has been around for three decades.  What's unique about it your might ask?  Can you name any fertilizer which lasts 3 years in the ground and in northern climate zones may even last up to 5 years in the ground that does not release during heavy rain falls?

• Bold statement huh?  You do the numbers.  If you were planting a 3" caliper tree and were going to push it for three years you would put 3-4 pounds of fertilizer on it 4 times a year.  So during the 3 year period you would apply 36-48 pounds.  With NUTRI-PAK® you would use 10-12 ounces when you planted the tree and it would feed for 3 years.  36-48 pounds averages 672 ounces.  10-12 ounces average 11.  11 divided by 672 = 1.6%  This means you have not used 98.4%!!!

HOW DOES NUTRI-PAK® WORK?
Moisture (in the form of a vapor) or condensation enters the packet through "Micro-Pores" located on both sides of the packet. This vapor (condensation) coupled with the warming soil causes the dry granular fertilizer to break down and become soluble. The pressure caused by heat and vapor then releases the now liquid fertilizer back through the same "Micro-Pores" and into the soil gradually.

HOW LONG DOES NUTRI-PAK® LAST?
NUTRI-PAK® will last for 3 to 5 years depending on your locale and growing season. In "year-round" growing environments, where the soil is consistently warm and adequate amounts of moisture are present, NUTRI-PAK® is guaranteed to last up to 3 years. In northern climates, where there is a definite dormant season (winter) or where temperatures drop and soil freezes, NUTRI-PAK® is guaranteed to last up to 5 years.

HOW SAFE IS NUTRI-PAK® FOR THE ENVIRONMENT?
Nurtri-Pak is SAFER for the environment than other fertilizer for the following reasons:

·        Is inserted 6 to 8 inches into the soil. Therefore it is not a threat to people or animals. Other fertilizers that are applied topically could potentially harm people or animals.

·        The polyethylene packet begins breaking down into a fine polymer dust after 7 years and is then naturally consumed by the micro-organisms in the soil. Unlike other plastics found in landfills that take 50 to 100 years to break down, the NUTRI-PAK® packet is totally assimilated after 10 to 12 years.

I'M USED TO APPLYING SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNTS OF GRANULAR FERTILIZER TO THE SOIL TO FEED MY TREES AND SHRUBS EVERY 3 TO 6 MONTHS. HOW CAN ONLY A 2 OZ. PACKET OF GRANULAR FERTILIZER LAST UP TO 5 YEARS?

·        The reason a person has to apply so many pounds of granular fertilizer is that you cannot control the amount and time of its release.

·        Also, the natural saturation of rain water or irrigation washes up to 98% of the fertilizer down through the soil and into the groundwater (commonly called LEACHING).

·        This process of granular feeding has a two-fold "shock" effect. In most cases, too much fertilizer is applied at one time. This massive initial dose often results in root burning which leads to tree or shrub death. Then the tree or shrub is "shocked" again when the fertilizer has leached into the groundwater. Consequently, the tree or shrub gradually starves and dies.

·        Ultimately, the environment is damaged by groundwater contamination. This is a result of massive doses of granular fertilizer that have not been utilized by the tree or shrub, ending up in the groundwater.

Using NUTRI-PAK® solves all of the above problems in the following manner:

·        NUTRI-PAK® is enclosed in a polyethylene packet. The release of fertilizer is controlled by the natural process that takes place when the temperature and moisture of the soil are correct.

·        Consequently, a tree, shrub or rosebush only feeds when this natural process (of temperature and moisture) occurs.

·        Furthermore, the scientifically designed "Micro-Pore" packet allows an ample amount of fertilizer to become soluble and subsequently released at any given feed-time. As long as temperature and moisture conditions are correct, the packet is activated and the tree or shrub feeds. If the temperature and moisture are not correct, the packet ceases to release soluble fertilizer and the tree or shrub stops feeding.

·        Heavy rainfall or over-irrigation will not deplete the NUTRI-PAK® of its contents, due to the "Micro-Pore" design. The "MicroPore" design, found on all NUTRI-PAK® products, only allows moisture to enter the packet in a vapor (condensation) form.

·        Finally, there is never a "shock" to the feeder roots from over or under fertilization, since tree or shrub feeding and fertilizer release are both activated by soil temperature and moisture. The feeder roots only feed when the temperature and moisture are correct. In addition, the fertilizer is activated and released only when temperature and moisture are correct.
